Tonight, the Light Painting crew from the Mac Lab, (Christopher, Philip, Aaron, Kyle, and Christian) were out at Woodhaven Park taking light painting shots along with starting to film Chris’s Light Painting tutorials. Earlier that night, I was downtown with my dad eating at Anthony’s. I was carrying my camera and had some time to kill so I decided to take a few chaotic light painting test pictures, some buildings shots, and a 20 second exposure traffic shot. I remembered I had been informed about this event and arrived at around 8:30 after the downtown shoot. Mr. Skocko was distributing the cameras and shutter releases to the light painters when I arrived. I brought my camera along to snap a few shots and experiment under various conditions such as exposure and light sources. I managed to take a few video clips of Chris explaining the Light Painting process that will be in his tutorials. After about 3 hours I was content on the unique pictures we had taken. (I should have a few shots of tonight’s work up soon!)

Starting Up the Engine
During morning rain, in the Mac Lab Saturday School, the ideas are starting to flow. I will be experimenting with light painting and an abstract poster combining Illustrator and Photoshop. The photo above is a light painting test I took during a road trip to Los Angeles. I took it into Photoshop and later enhanced it in Camera Raw.
The photo above is a work in progress of an abstract idea that popped into my head. I soon sketched it then traced it with the pen tool in Illustrator.
A few hours later by 11 am, I had finished shading it in Photoshop and included a few noise effects then took it into Camera Raw.
